NO FOOD WASTAGE AWARENESS BY THE SECONDARY SCIENCE DEPARTMENT

The Science department intends to adopt the ‘No Food Waste Day’ which is celebrated on 26th April to educate the whole school community
The S12 students along with their class teacher; Mrs Laureen Finesse went one step further after watching the video. They made posters and poems which were displayed on the schools’ notice board. Miss Rachel Lionnet assisted the science department by compiling all the poems and posters into a collage.
The Vice-principal for secondary and A-level, Mrs Kim Balette approved for the video to be shown during the class period in all the secondary classes. A copy was also given to the primary school as well.
Three S5 students; Karishma Sundaram, Shasheni Ramesh and Lyra Gedeon produced a no food wastage sensitization video as directed by the science department. A lot of food wastage is happening in the whole school. It is to be noted that lately, the scientifc community has shown a lot of concern with regards to this issue regarding this subject.
