A wave of enthusiasm swept across Casuarina Beach in Au Cap, thanks to a delightful collaboration between the spirited students of Independent School, their dedicated teachers, and representatives from H. Savy Insurance. This charming beach clean-up event was not just about tidying up; it was a heartfelt tribute to Mother Nature and a celebration of community spirit commemorating Clean Up the World. The initiative was sparked by the visionary Kayleah Gabriel, a S1 student who took on a challenge for the Miss SIDs competition. “I wanted to organise an environmental activity, and what better way than a beach cleanup?” she explained. With her passion ignited, Kayleah rallied fellow students, teachers, and family members, all eager to champion the cause of our beautiful oceans and beaches. As the sun peeked through the clouds on Friday morning, excitement buzzed in the air. The enthusiastic group, composed of Kayleah’s S1 classmates and a lively team of eight younger students from the Wildlife Club, arrived at the site where the former Casuarina Beach lay. With grins stretching from ear to ear, they split into small teams, ready to act. And just in time, the supportive representatives from H Savy Insurance arrived to lend a helping hand!
